Invoice your client in their own language — in one tap

Cross-border freelancing means invoicing people who don't read English. Plainvoice translates the whole invoice — labels free, your words by AI.

If you freelance across borders, you’ve sent an invoice to someone who doesn’t read English and hoped the numbers spoke for themselves. They mostly do — but a “Total due” they can actually read gets you paid faster.

Most invoice apps localize their own buttons and leave your invoice in English. Plainvoice translates the invoice itself.

The smart split

Translation is split into three parts, so you only pay for the part that needs AI:

  1. LabelsInvoice, Billed to, Subtotal, Total due, Due date… — come from a built-in dictionary in 12+ languages. Free and instant.
  2. Numbers and dates are formatted for the locale (a Thai invoice even shows the Buddhist-era year). Free.
  3. Your own words — line descriptions, notes, terms — are translated by AI. That’s the only part that uses one AI “use.”

Pick a language and the whole invoice switches in a tap. The original is kept, so you can flip back any time, and totals are always recomputed in code — never guessed by the AI.

Why it matters

For a freelancer in Southeast Asia invoicing a client in Tokyo, Bangkok or Jakarta, this is the difference between a polished, local-feeling invoice and a wall of English. None of the big apps lead with it.
